Birds

Me and my parents were doing some yard work and cleaning up outside the house. After we were done, we found a nest of five eggs. We didn't know what kind of bird they belonged to. I reached out to one and touched it. The egg had a gentle warmth emanating from it. When I retracted my hand from the egg's shell, the whole nest of eggs began to hatch. One by one, each egg cracked itself open and came alive a new bird. Now, I still don't know what kind of bird they were. But they were newly hatched. Each one came towards us. They were hungry, asking for food. When I went to go look for something to give them, I woke up.
